Bivalves of family Pectinidae are one of the most frequent fossils in the marine Eocene of districts of Bages and Moianès. They can be recognized by the flaps at the sides of the umbo. Most specimens belong to the genus Chlamys and Pecten, although the certain identity is difficult when fossils.
The specimen in 1st photo was found in Castellgalí (Bages), the one in 2nd photo in Monistrol de Calders (Moianès).
