In the southern area of Bages with tabular relief, near river Llobregat, there are several geological faults displaying north-south direction that were originated by distension. The biggest one is the normal type fault in Manresa that splits up the plain of Bufalvent, 300-380 m height, from the plain of Viladordis to the east, 50 m below. In the picture, one normal fault with almost vertical plane in Castellbell i el Vilar, near the bridge over the highway C-16.
