The tabular relief of Collbaix, 546 m high, emerges in west border of plain of Bages (300 m) near Manresa, the district capital. A thick layer of conglomerate rock has protected Collbaix from erosion for hundreds of thousands years, while the stream of Fals (north), the river Cardener (east) and the stream of Rajadell (south) have been deepening present valleys around.
