The surface of the lake of L’Agulla is partially frozen at the beginning of December, after several cold days with anticyclone. Whilst water in L’Agulla just slightly freezes because it turns over, in the nearby ponds of the wetlands of La Bòbila (Santpedor) and La Corbatera (Sallent), as well as in the pools of the streams, a thick layer of ice develops under same weather conditions.
Ducks and other birds from wetlands join the lake of L’Agulla in such cold days.
