The chestnut tree of can Cuc (Castanea sativa) is considered the tree in Catalogne with the widest trunk. It’s found in the natural park of Montseny, in one slope from Pla de La Calma near can Cuc in Cànoves i Samalús (Vallès Oriental). The group of ICHN-Bages visited it in 05-11-2011. The whole group of 20 people was needed to embrace it. On 2nd image, some people into the empty trunk of the old chestnut tree.
