Tricholoma aurantium

Tricholoma aurantiumis big, up to 12 cm diameter, thick mushroom starting convex shape, later flat, finally concave. The cap is covered by a beautiful, dry, orange, non-viscous cuticle that rolls a bit on the white grills, while the stipe splits in two colours, white in a narrow bar on top and orange below it, as the cap, though breaking in scales that depict almost transversal stripes in orange from the cuticle and in white from the mushroom body.

Tricholoma aurantium is found in district of Bages mainly in green oak woods in mid autumn.

It is not edible because unpleasant taste.
