Sant Jeroni, 1236 m, is the highest summit in the mountain of Montserrat and also in the district of Bages. It is located in the centre of the mountain, in the region of Tabor amongst the 6 regions that make the entangled geography of Montserrat. Sant Jeroni is the best belvedere that tilts over the district of Bages. Anyhow their views are much wider, it gets to the Pyrenees far away to the north, to the mountains of Collsacabra, Montseny and Sant Llorenç del Munt in the east, it looks over the range of Collserola, the district of Baix Llobregat and to the sea that shines below the sun on the south and, further than the table mountains of Castellfollit del Boix and the district of Anoia, the view spreads over the Catalan central depression.
The 1st picture displays the highest area of region of Tabor as seen from the west, from the area of Montgròs. The summit of Sant Jeroni is on the left, then there are the belvedere of El Moro with the antenna, the peak of El Moro and, on the right, the summit of L’Albarda Castellana.
The 2nd picture is taken from opposite side, from the peak of El Moro, in the east. The summit of Sant Jeroni is full of people.
In winter time, also the alpine accentor (Prunella collaris) arrives there to collect crumbs from breakfast.
The deep channel of Sant Jeroni or Santa Cecilia separates the serrat of Sant Jeroni (west) from that of El Moro (east) in the northern face.
